Mallorca Wine Shop | Cabrera Ribas Red Wine

Representative of the great potential of Mallorca’s oldest Mantonegro vines; this wine is made only in years of exceptional harvests. The deep roots of these 60-year-old vine stocks give the wine the characteristics of the Can Ribas vineyard and produce complex, mature and elegant wines
with a rich fruity expression.

Grape varieties: 55% Mantonegro, 40% Syrah and 5% Cabernet
Sauvignon.

Aging: 12 months

Barrel type: 100% new French oak 225 and 500 L

Alcohol strength: 14,5% Shelf life: 10-12 Years

Elaboration: The grapes are harvested by hand before being strictly
selected, one by one. Long maceration for greater extraction.
Created from grapes carefully selected among the best ripe bunches from the oldest Mantonegro vines. The grapes from 25-year-old Syrah and Cabernet vines also give it structure and depth.

Color: Bigarreau cherry red.

Nose: Mineral and balsamic notes easily perceptible. Ripe red and black fruit aromas. Cocoa and liquorice tones, toasted aromas from new barrels.

Mallorca Wine Shop | Anima Negra Red Wine

This is a wine made from specific vineyards, whose character reflects several unique factors; the old callet vines (40 to 60 years old) that are only found in Mallorca; the poor soil with good mineral content (iron oxide) lying over calcareous rocks and the fact that the vine roots have to dig deep to compete with fruit trees planted amongst the vines. The wine artfully reveals all of these qualities.

Grape Varieties: 95% callet, 5% mantonegro and fogoneu.

Rainfall: 350-450mm.

Pruning: Traditional gobelet method.

Production: Grapes are harvested by hand into small 10kg boxes. Manual grape selection before temperature-controlled fermentation in cement tanks and wooden vats of 5,000 and 3,000 litres respectively.

Maceration: Average of 25-30 days.

Malolactic: Part barrel (approximately 60%) and the rest in cement tanks.

Ageing: 18 months in new, French, fine-grain oak barrels; low to medium toasted. A further 2 months of tank aging prior to bottling.

Alcohol Content: 13.5%

Vintage red wine elaborated from grapes proceeding from the old vineyard Ca’s Misser Fiol which are patiently selected one by one. JP is complex and special wine, elaborated only after exceptional vintages.

A short numbered production of it is made and signed by the viniculturist – 615 bottles have been elaborated and signed up to the present moment.

Grape Varieties: Mantonegro 80%, Syrah 20%.

We present our Vinya Caules Son Negre, a wine created varieties Mallorcan Callet Mantonegro and old vines, which give it a unique character, and Syrah Tempranillo and you enhance the color, alcohol content, tannin and body, to ensure barrel aging and bottle perfect .

Grape Varieties: Callet, Mantonegro, Tempranillo , Syrah and Fogoneu.

Crop: Callet , Mantonegro and Fogoneu in glass and trellis Tempranillo and Syrah.

Alcohol: 13-13.5 % vol.

Fermentation: Deposit of temperature-controlled stainless steel.

Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Note: Cherry red with ruby flashes, clean and bright. High intensity smells, with hints of red fruits over wooden background quality, providing and smells toasty, Vanilla smells, reminiscent of leather, slightly balsamic.

In the note on the palate is dry, tasty, large, his step is balanced, round, with good acidity, It is a long wine tasting and aromatic finish.

Appearance: Cherry red with violet tones high layer . Clean and bright .

Aroma: Intense, clean and high expression. Enhanced by spicy black pepper very balanced , very good volume of mature red fruit , minerality , toasted notes suggest powerful but sesame and smoked very soft.

Grape Varieties: 90 % Mantonegro, 10% Callet.

Graduation: 13% vol.

Vintage: 14 months.

Types of Barrel: Allier oak barrels of 600 l. Roasted medium and medium plus.

Viticulture: Viticulture and rational minimal intervention.

Winemaking: Manual selection of the grapes. The 50% made in stainless steel and 50 % in wooden tubs of 2500l.
